Wonderful spicy smoky BBQ wings on the grill.

It’s an essential element of any BBQ. Get outside and cook up a big batch of these.

Simply delicious. To set-up your BBQ for indirect cooking see the method here.

  • As many wings as you want!
  • 1 My recipe Buffalo sauce (link below)
  • BBQ wood-chips or chunks of your choice

Step 1

Light the BBQ using indirect heat method, coals on one side wings on the other as in image above.

Step 2

Lightly coat the wings with a light olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Step 3

Place the buffalo sauce in a pan and bring to a very gentle simmer.

Step 4

When the coals are white and the BBQ is hot briefly sear the wings directly over the coals, keep your eye on them they will burn in a heartbeat.

Step 5

Move the seared wings opposite the coals, add a few wood chips or a wood chunk to the hot coals if you like, baste with the buffalo sauce, put the lid on the BBQ occasionally turning and basting.

Step 6

BBQ for at least 45 minutes, keep the lid on as much as possible to maintain the high heat. *NOTE* You can always finish them in the oven if necessary.
